Sadam Hussein, sentenced to hang in his war crimes trial, calls on warring Iraqis

President Bush, acknowledging voters had given him “a thumping” and said the
chief architect of his military strategy, defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld had
resigned.
Republican senators George Allen in Virginia and Conrad Burns in Montana
concede defeat and that gives Democrats control of both branches of Congress -
the first time in 12 years.
President Bush cautions against holding talks with Syria and Iran and beginning
a withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, but says he’s open to new ideas. Some
Democrats say they would press to begin a phased U.s. military withdrawal from
Iraq within four to six months.

begun to make it Java technology an open-
source software project available for free on the
Internet. Making Java an open-source project
allows programmers to examine, modify, fix bugs
and contribute new features in Java’s underlying
code.
Walt Disney’s game unit announce a new video
game studio that would focus on crating new and Disney-inspired titles for
Nintendo Co’s hand-held DS player and upcoming Wii console.
Microsoft has finished work on its long-delayed Windows Vista operating system
and should be available January 30.
