Vice President Al Gore rejects President Clinton’s proposal to appear with him in
key voter states. Some say it’s Gore’s anxiety about associating too closely with
Clinton.
In Iowa - George Bush quells controversy stemming from his 1976 drunken
driving arrest.
George Bush appears on the “Tonight” show on Monday and both Bush and Al
Gore are set to appear on “Presidential Bash 2000” - a special prime-time
Saturday Night Live special on Sunday.

A “Frasier” episode spoofing radio talkshow host Dr. Laura Schlessinger has
been pulled from syndication. The episode, which originally aired in April of 1999,
featured Chrstine Baranksi as spiteful talkshow host “Dr. Nora” who had a bad
relationship with her mom, much like Dr. Laura.
On her syndicated talkshow, Rosie O’Donnel airs a clip of Barbra Steisand
endorsing Democractic presidential candidate Al Gore.
In October - the Fox News Channel had its best ratings month ever - tying with
CNN.
Producer Darren Star - who gave us HBO’s “Sex and the City,” gives us “The
Street,” - a new Fox drama abut guys on Wall Street. Gotta love it.
