Cease fire - Fearing retaliation for a nightclub bombing,
Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat offers a cease-fire as
Palestinians brace for payback from an outraged Jewish
state. The Israeli government blamed Arafat’s “coalition of
terror” for the Friday night suicide bombing in Tel Aviv that killed 19 Israelis and
wounded more than 100.
Crown Prince Dipendra, The heir to Nepal’s ancient throne kills the country’s king
and queen and other members of the royal family then kills himself.
Police cite President Bush’s 19-year-old twin daughters for allegedly violating
state alcoholic beverage laws. It would be the second offense for Jenna and the
first for her sister, Barbara Bush. Police accused Barbara of being a minor in
possession of alcohol and Jenna of misrepresenting her age by trying to use
false identification to buy alcohol.

Microsoft Corp. says it plans to bundle an instant-messaging service in a new

uncover whom at the studio’s advertising department created a fictitious film critic
for a weekly newspaper in Connecticut that gave glowing reviews on recent Sony
films.
