Bosnian Serbs attack the Muslim area of Zepa and detained Ukrainian U.N.
peacekeepers and threatened to kill them if NATO warplanes appear.
Bosnia - Zepa - is known as the safe area, but residents are panicked with
besieged U.N. posts and they plead for help.
The House approves legislation to slash spending for the National endowments
for the arts and Humanities by 40%.
Prime Minister Tomiichi Murayama apologizes to all women who were forced into
prostitution to serve Japan’s armed forces during his nation’s warfare decades
ago in Asia.
Russian President Boris N. Yeltsin cancels a state visit to Norway and all other
activities to stay in the hospital and continue recovering from heart trouble.
