Scandals and abuses at HUD keep growing and here’s another one - “Equity
skimming.”
Soviet President
Mikhail S. Gorbachev
warned
the nation that the country’s growing ethnic strife
is endangering its unity as a state as well as
threatening his program of political and economic
reforms.
The Supreme Court opens the way for states to
limit access to abortion, upholding a Missouri law
that bans abortions in public hospitals and forbids
public employees from assisting abortions in any
way.
Passing - Andrei A Gromyko - foreign minister
and later, President of the Soviet Union. He was 79.

Jackson, makes his acting debut as a Mafia underboss in
“Good Fellas.” He was canned by Jackson a few months
back.
Early ticket sales for the “Club MTV” tour which got
underway last week, are sluggish. The concerts are hosted
by MTV veejay Julie Brown and feature the Club MTV
dancers. One of the problems, people think it’s a TV show
and that the artists will be lip-syncing their performances “It’s
hurting us. We need to get across the idea that this is a real
show with real live bands,” said a spokesperson.
