Dr. Jeffrey Fisher the Archbishop of Canterbury touches off a furor by suggesting
it may be god’s intention that the human race destroy itself in an H-bomb war.
President Eisenhower returns to the White House after a quick inspection of the
all-American link of the St. Lawrence Seaway on his way home from Canada.

Entertainment news - Marilyn Monroe returns to
Hollywood from New York. Her hair is white-blonde for her new picture.
Television news - NBC begins something called “electronic film syndication” of
portions of its Huntley-Brinkley Report.” NBC affiliates can record all filmed
portions of the nightly broadcast by video tape or by hot kinescope recording by
which the film may be prepared for rebroadcast several minutes later. The days
of mailing actualities by film is gone. It took too long and was costly.
