increase from Congress.
French authorities seize from a Yugoslav ship more than $2 million worth of arms
and explosives destined for Algerian rebels.
President Eisenhower says the country can reverse the recession this year; pay
in full the cost of meeting Russia’s new challenge and go forward to “great
economic growth without inflation.”
