pressure. He had been under investigation by the Justice Department since
September for accepting a $1,000 payment intended as a “thank you” for an
interview with First Lady Nancy Reagan.
Sen. Paula Hawkins of Florida is in fair condition after
being knocked out cold when part of a television studio’s
set fell on her during an interview at Orlando station WESH.
More dependent on Russia than ever before - The Soviet
Union grants the Polish government a multibillion-dollar
credit commitment. It includes funds Poland needs to make
its final 1982 interest payment on its big debt to Western
banks.
President Reagan extends the draft registration program in an about face - an

Music news -
Johnny Cash says yes - he and his family were robbed at their house in Jamaica
on December 21 and he thought he would have a bullet in his head. The thugs
broke into his home and present was his he, his wife June, their 11-year-old son,
John Carter and his friend Doug Calwell another couple and three housekeepers.
The thugs rummaged through the house for four hours while keeping everyone
hostage at gunpoint. They took $50,000 worth of jewelry and cash.

New TV information service - It’s about a month old (Nov. 30)
but Financial News Network (FNN) can already be seen on
UHF stations in major markets such as New York (WWHT),
Philadelphia (WWSG) and Los Angeles (KSCI).
