Wow - Aku - the top-rated DJ in Honolulu over
KGMB radio (radio 590) just signed a 12-year
contract at an annual salary of $400,000. Aku is Hal
Lewis, and is originally from Brooklyn, NY.

Paul McCartney moves for a legal split
from his fellow Beatles and a division of
their fortune - estimated to be $100
million. The breakup of the British pop
group, which has been pending for
months, finally became reality with a suit
filed by McCartney in the High Court.
The other three Beatles were name as
defendants along with Apple Corps.
Ltd., the group’s business organization.
McCartney asked for the legal
termination of the partnership and also
demanded the appointment of a receiver
to deal with the Beatles’ assets.
A suit seeking more than $600,000 in
back royalties is filed by 3 Dog Night
against Dunhill Records.

Cigarette advertising spent some $150 million on all of television and industry
sources confirm that a great many “replacement” ad dollars is coming from oil
companies that had increased their television budgets; from major insurance
companies; from retailers from an upsurge in advertising money from travel-
