About 500 foreign hostages fly out of Iraq and that number included 22
Americans. This just after Iraq freed 1,000 hostages.
W. Nathaniel Howell III is the last of the U.S. Envoys to leave Kuwait. He says
the U.S. Embassy still stands and the U.S. flag still flies over it. He said he
subsisted on tuna fish for months.
President Bush concludes a week-long tour of South American and lauded a new
spirit for private enterprise.
Instead of slicing open 5-year-old plastic ration pouches, American troops on
patrol at the front lines in Saudi Arabia soon will be able to eat meals as fresh as
packaged preservative laced food can be. The Pentagon has placed a $260-
million order for nearly 190 million entrée side-dish packs for its basic battlefield
ration in a move to p preserve and build up dwindling supplies of the food
soldiers carry into battle.

E.C.Records store owner Charles Freeman of Ft. Lauderdale - becomes the first
record store owner in the nation ever to be convicted of selling obscene material.
He was fined 1.000 for selling 2 Live Crew’s “As Nasty as They Wanna Be” rap
album to an adult undercover officer - two days after a judge their ruled the
album was obscene.
City officials in Hialeah, Fla want to
shutdown a nightclub owned by Luther
Campbell (2 Live Crew) for its history of
violence.
With Paula Abdul driving - her Jaguar
rear-ended a car that went into another
