For the first time in its history - The Supreme Court may help decide who the
next President may be, or they could let the Florida legislature decide. A ruling is
expected next week.
Attorneys for Al Gore tries to convince a county judge to throw open the
presidential race by resuming the vote counting in Florida and order a canvass of
thousands of disputed ballots.
For now, it’s still governor, not president-elect Bush, Bush told “60 Minutes II”
that there would be no role for his younger brother, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in his
administration.
Vice President Al Gore
says that he believes
he still has a 50-50 chance of winning the
presidency. He believes his future rests almost
entirely in the hands of the Florida Supreme
Court.
